Maria Beaudoin, Campus Recruiter

photoWhen Maria Beaudoin brought her strong background in the performing arts to The Boston Group of the Northwestern Mutual Financial Network (NMFN) in September 2009, she helped demonstrate the broad appeal of the company as an employer. Having majored in theater arts and minored in art history at Hartwick College, Oneonta, N.Y., she saw a passion in the people at the agency she “never expected to find in the financial services industry” and decided to apply her skills to the interpersonal communication challenges of college recruitment.

Maria is well-cast as a campus recruiter in that she is living proof that the business of financial service represents a good fit for all kinds of people. In interfacing with both college students and career counseling professionals, Maria’s job calls for her to play dual roles: not only does she help attract strong prospective financial representatives, but she also serves as an important public relations function for the office.

Having performed at the prestigious Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival, Maria remains engaged in the Greater Boston theater scene as a performer and theater-goer today. She has also become involved in some important local community organizations and charitable activities, such as a “puppy raiser” for the Guiding Eyes for the Blind and the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life.

Born and raised in Casco, Maine, it is no surprise that Maria enjoys several outdoor sports, including Alpine and Nordic skiing and tennis. She currently resides in Boston with her black lab Nestle.
