Management TeamOur business is about relationships, and we have a strong management team in place that understands this. They are committed to furthering the development of our financial representatives through training and guidance, so the representatives can establish enduring and solid relationships with their clients. Adam BaurField Director Still a relative newcomer to the financial services field, Adam Baur joined The Boston Group of the Northwestern Mutual Financial Network (NMFN) in 2006 on the advice, encouragement and referral of an acquaintance who was an NMFN financial representative. That counsel so impressed him that today, as Field Director, Adam helps develop and mentor the agency’s full-time and college financial representatives, teaching them about the sales cycle, business decorum and NMFN products. His ultimate aim is to have these students’ internships culminate in a full-time placement with The Boston Group. Adam believes in investing in his ability to help clients, and has the training and credentials to show for that conviction. He has attained his Series 6 and Series 63 securities licenses, and consistently strives to better address the needs and interests of the individuals and families he serves.
A graduate of Providence College with a degree in business management, Adam is involved with a number of community organizations, including the United Way of Massachusetts Bay and the Providence College Boston Alumni Association. He is an avid snowboarder and is active in many other recreational sports, and enjoys traveling and spending time on Cape Cod. A native of Hudson, MA, Adam now lives in Boston. Shaun M. FeldeisenField Director Field Director Shaun Feldeisen has been a financial representative with Northwestern Mutual Financial Network (NMFN) since 2004. He is a graduate of the University of Connecticut, where he earned a B.S. degree in business administration with a minor in economics. Hard work. Leadership. Extra effort. Teamwork. Education. These are the values that drove Shaun to success on the football field at the UConn, where he gained a full athletic scholarship, was named captain, and earned Academic All-America status.
Achieving the coveted “Pacesetter 40” award for production in his first six months as a financial representative, Shaun was proud to be named The Boston Group's "New Financial Representative of the Year" for 2005 and 2006 and to be recognized at NMFN’s Eastern Regional Meeting in 2006 and 2007 as the number two producer in premium for second and third-year representatives, respectively. Today, as Field Director, Shaun devotes 30% of his time to recruiting and developing for The Boston Group, helping to interview candidates and train and mentor new financial representatives.
Shaun is an active member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, University of Connecticut Huskies Football Alumni Association, Massachusetts Restaurant Association and the Associated Subcontractors of Massachusetts. He and his wife Sabrina reside in Boston. Michael RaposaCollege Unit Director When Michael Raposa chose to join The Boston Group of the Northwestern Mutual Financial Network (NMFN) in 2007, his decision was based on his interest in representing what he calls “the finest company in the financial service industry,” as well as the ability to operate his own financial service practice within the NMFN infrastructure. Today, Michael has an even stronger conviction regarding his choice of The Boston Group, citing the ability to build relationships and positively impact people’s lives as his primary motivation each day. He became a financial advisor in January 2010, enabling him to provide broad-based support of his clients by offering products from a sophisticated investment platform.
Having entered the business through the company’s internship program, Michael also serves today as a college unit director for the agency. In this capacity, he devotes considerable time to helping current college representatives learn the business, succeed in their earliest efforts, and establish a professional vision for themselves.
A resident of Brighton, Mass., Michael was born and raised in Barrington, R.I. His interests include music, politics and American history.

Wallace serves as yet another example of the broad professional and cultural appeal of the insurance industry and of NMFN in particular, having attended the Berklee College of Music in Boston, where he majored in performance as a bass player.
A regular team leader of fundraising activities for the agency, Wallace has been involved with many not-for-profit organizations and efforts through the years. He is closely tied to charitable efforts around cerebral palsy and autism, both of which have had an impact on his extended family.
