David C Mc Avoy, CLU® Office ProfileDavid C. McAvoy, CLU joined Northwestern Mutual Financial Network as an intern while completing his bachelor’s degree at Columbia University. Upon graduation in 1977 he was appointed College Unit Director. Dave became a Specialist at the Corporate Office in Milwaukee, WI in 1981, in charge of the Company's nation-wide Internship Program. Two years later he became a Field Director in Pittsburgh, PA, helping to develop that territory's new representative field force. Returning to the Corporate Office in Milwaukee in 1990, Dave was appointed Assistant Regional Director of Agencies, assisting the Company's Managing Directors with ongoing growth and development responsibilities. Dave McAvoy became Managing Partner for the Boston Group in 1994. In his role as Managing Partner, he is responsible for the Network Office's sales and service operations. Dave McAvoy was the recipient of the 2006 NAIFA's Manager's Membership Award (formerly 100 percent Agency Award). The award recognizes organizations that support a strong financial services industry by supporting NAIFA and its efforts. Life, health, multi-line agencies and financial groups are encouraged to receive this award by ensuring that a certain percentage of their agents, based on the organization's size, are NAIFA members. Dave and his wife, Kathy, have three children: Tom, Jack and Sarah. This Network Office has been active since 1868. |
